Stepdad, a band under Black Bell Records (a new label headed by Ayad Al Adhamy from Passion Pit), just dropped a new track from their upcoming album Wildlife Pop. “Must Land Running” is exactly the type of Indie Pop that I love to spend hours at a time listening to. It has a simple, hypnotizing beat that shows just what a perfect harmony and carefully constructed rhythm are capable of. Layer a wonderful, perfectly executed set of vocals on top, and what you have is a brilliant song that can fit comfortably on any Indie Pop playlist.

I can’t wait to hear what else Stepdad has in store for us on June 12th. Let’s just say, I will be putting the release of Wildlife Pop on my calendar. And if you enjoy festivals, Stepdad will be hitting up Warped Tour, so make an effort to see them if you go!
