Ok, so not sure how ever I missed this illness by Nova Scotia-based producer Ryan Hemsworth, but I felt it necessary to share it with you all nonetheless. Some of you might recognize Hemsworth as a frequent collaborator of North Carolina-based MC Deniro Farrar, but this dude has a serious knack for delivering atmospheric, trapped-out, solo goodness. This track is a remix of Atlanta rapper Future‘s latest single “Turn on the Lights” from his album Pluto, and this shit BANGS. Hemsworth outfits the track with spacey, distant sound effects, a robust, moving bassline, and frenetic synths. The bassline is also somewhat modulated in certain parts of the song, giving it somewhat of a chillstep feel. There have been some sick remixes to “Turn on the Lights” over the past few months (see R&B singer Lloyd‘s or Florida-based rapper Ice Berg‘s), but this one definitely takes the cake. Get hype to this one.
