Red Hot Chilli Peppers Bassist, Flea, Announces Benefit EP

Flea, the well known and talented bassist from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, will soon be releasing his own EP, titled Helen Burns. According to Flea himself, we will be expecting an EP of “obscure, arty mostly instrumental music,” and at least one song will be featuring the distinctive, punk-rock legend Patti Smith. Flea claims that this is nothing like Red Hot Chili Peppers music, it is more of a “triply freakout.” On this EP, we will be hearing a variety of instruments played by the diverse Flea himself including: trumpet, bass, synthesizer, drum machine, piano, and “a bunch of other shit.” Flea announced via Twitter that the EP does not have a set price, and will be available for download for whichever amount you choose to pay. All the proceeds will be donated to the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, which Flea himself is the founder of. We should be expecting more information on where to download Helen Burns within the next couple of days.
