Passion Pit just released a single from their upcoming album Gossamer, which is due out in July. Having warranted so much success with the release of Manners, it seems only proper that the band would follow in their own footsteps and dish out some new ear-candy for all of us indie pop enthusiasts. That being said, “Take a Walk,” will not leave fans of the band/genre disappointed.

A consistent drum rhythm, accompanied by a catchy electro-synth melody, presents us with what we have come to expect from Passion Pit. The one difference, however: the voice of lead vocalist Michael Angelakos. It isn’t the typical helium-induced tone we have all come to know and love, but rather a gentle and smooth coo.

“Take A Walk” is certainly an indication of what one should expect to hear, come July. Listen below and enjoy!
