Singer-songwriter Mika recently released a video for his new song “Make You Happy.” The track will appear on Mika’s upcoming album The Origin of Love, which is due out this fall. Mika stressed, however, that “this is not a single, but a song I really love and wanted to share with you.” The video was shot in Montreal.

The video opens with a few melancholy shots, stares into the distance and misty waters. This provides an immediate contrast with the computerized vocals repeating “all I want to do is make you happy.” But the video soon lightens. A smile breaks through, a couple shares a tender kiss.

The video revolves around alternating views of different couples. Their actions vary, but their happiness is apparent. It’s a cute video that captures the spirit of the song well. The track is fun and great for dancing, and has several great lyrics, like “can’t you see the love around you? You’re crazy not to take it.” It’s a good peek at the upcoming album, and another testament to Mika’s talent.
