MellowHigh, an Odd Future derivative composed of Hodgy Beats and Domo Genesis, is back once again this week with another track; although we didn’t cover it here on Homeless Tracks, the duo released “Timbs” nearly a week ago. With a hand from producer Thelonious Martin, “Go” drifts like a wisp of smoke through your speakers. Combine that zoned-out production value with Hodgy and Domo’s slow-paced, assertive lyricism, and you have a track that can at times feel very reminiscent of one of Big L‘s many 90′s freestyles– I swear, drop the needle on ’98 for yourself if you don’t believe me. Two tracks in one week and a spot on hypem’s popular charts can only mean one thing for this duo: they’re finally becoming a thing in the blogosphere. Check out “Timbs” and “Go” below and enjoy!
