Less than a month ago, John Mayer announced that he would be touring this spring, his first tour in nearly two years. Sadly, however, he has been forced to cancel that tour for health reasons.

During a rehearsal, Mayer felt that something was off. After visiting a doctor, he learned that a granuloma he had removed from his vocal chords was starting to grow back. In light of this, he had no option but to cancel his tour, apologizing to fans and telling them how upset he personally was.

There is some good news for Mayer fans, however. His album, Born and Raised, is still slated for its May 22 release. And despite the fact that this album hasn’t been released, Mayer already has plans for his next album. He must first seek treatment, though. Homeless Tracks wishes him a speedy recovery.
