K’naan – “Waiting Is A Drug” (Unreleased) & “With God On Our Side” (Bob Dylan Cover)

Everyone’s favorite Somalian, K’naan, decided to give his fans a little treat for Record Store Day by releasing a store-only, 7″ record that includes “Waiting Is A Drug” and a personal rendition of Bob Dylan‘s “With God On Our Side.” ”Waiting Is A Drug” makes the listener feel reminiscent of more vintage, soulful tracks from K’naan, like “Smile” and “Take A Minute”.

If the listener didn’t know that “With God On Our Side” was originally a Bob Dylan song, it wouldn’t surprise anyone if they thought it was another new K’naan track. The similarities of this cover, when compared to original K’naan songs, are outstanding– especially the passionate, eloquent lyricism. Listen to these two tracks below and enjoy!
