Gentlemen Hall – “Makes Me Feel Alive”
A six-piece conglomerate hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Gentlemen Hall is unique, strange and soft-spoken. What really separates this group from the other noise, though, is their very important incorporation of the flute. Played by the group’s sixth member, Seth, the instrument blends impressively and beautifully into the rest of the instrumentation, adding an air of lightness and singularity to the song. On their newest track, “Makes Me Feel Alive,” which took the Hype Machine by storm overnight, the group twists synth with flute, percussion and airy cooing, for one catchy, upbeat song that would absolutely be a pleasure to hear live.
