Two days ago, Ellie Goulding premiered a new song called “Anything Could Happen,” the first cut from her forthcoming album, Halcyon. The track was released along with a fan-submitted video that contains over 1200 photos, and looks as though the contributors mined Tumblr dry of material. Still, the video does match the pop singer’s aesthetic to a tee. The song itself is upbeat, imaginative and jaunty. As the summer comes to a close, “Anything Could Happen” acts as a wonderful reminder of enduring summer memories.
