Clear Conscience is a reggae group whose debut album High Tides hit iTunes in 2003. Their next album, What’s Inside Counts, was not released until 2007. However since then, the group has managed to release something every year without compromising the quality of their music. Their music is indisputably reggae, but seems to be influenced by both rock and hip-hop.

On January 25th of this year, Clear Conscience released “Blessed Love” as a single. The song had previously appeared on their EP Love Vibes, which was made available on iTunes on November 22, 2011, featuring Steve Jacobo and E.N Young. This release offers something new, however. For $1.98 on iTunes, you can purchase both the normal song and an instrumental version.

“Blessed Love” is a mellow song with an excellent groove. Fans of reggae will not be disappointed. Although if you haven’t previously listened to reggae, this song is an excellent introduction. The lyrics are upbeat and damn near heart-warming, with lines such as “Love will conquer everything. Love can make your days seem much brighter.” You can find the song on the group’s myspace page.
